The chain that binds us.
The fate of a billion people mixing, twisting, pushing and colliding with each other creates the impossibly complex structure known to most as Fabric of Fate. The fate of one person can change the world, whereas the combined potential of a billion people exceeds all imagination.
This great tapestry is too complex, has too many dimensions to be truly visualized in human terms and yet there some humans who can glimpse at its grandeur. Only a tiny fraction of the already rare Fated, the Seers, have the natural talent to read the Fabric and to use this knowledge to great effect. They can predict the future, uncover secrets and understand the human mind on a unparalleled level.
The Fated constantly mess with this incredible, ever changing landscape to further their own ambitions. But the Fabric of Fate is beyond any human and the childish attempts of control cause ripples and imbalance inside the Fabric. As with all things in nature, balance must be restored. In this case it happens in the form of Karma, sudden, forceful changes. Events can be twisted, actions derailed and some times great power can be harnessed.
It does not stop here, on the contrary, the worst is still to come. If enough tension has build up in the Fabric of Fate truly devastating forces can ripple into the physical world. This Disturbance can lay waste to buildings, cities even whole nations if allowed to go out of control.
